Blues Music Awards

The 36th annual blues music awards recognizes the top blues artists and recordings of the previous year (2014). Nominees are announced on December 8, 2014. Winners are voted on by Blues Foundation members between December and March, and announced at the awards ceremony.  The ceremony features performances by nominees for the awards at the Cook Convention Center in downtown Memphis. This year, a very special event, the grand opening of the Blues Hall of Fame will be occuring the next day, on Friday May 8, 2015.
